Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the WriteScan app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Article 1 (Scope)

These Terms apply to all relationships between you and the operator regarding the Service. Guidelines, help materials, and supplemental rules form part of these Terms where applicable.

Article 2 (Conditions of Use)

You must use the Service in compliance with applicable law, these Terms, and in-app notices, and you do so at your own responsibility. Minors must obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian before using the Service.

Article 3 (Account Identification and Authentication)

The Service may use anonymous authentication and other identification methods, including Firebase Authentication, for service operation, billing protection, abuse prevention, and related security purposes. You agree that such authentication and identification processing may occur as necessary for continued use of the Service.

Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)

You must not:

Violate laws or public order

Infringe the rights, interests, reputation, or credit of the Service or third parties

Interfere with the Service through unauthorized access, excessive load, bypassing authentication, or defeating security measures

Improperly obtain, use, or share account data, tokens, content, or purchase information

Abuse, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without authorization

Engage in other conduct the operator reasonably deems inappropriate

Article 5 (Changes to the Service)

The operator may change, add to, suspend, or terminate all or part of the Service when necessary. Material changes may be announced in advance or afterward by reasonable means.

Article 6 (Intellectual Property)

All intellectual property rights relating to the Service belong to the operator or rightful licensors. You may not use such rights without permission.

Article 7 (Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability)

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of completeness, accuracy, usefulness, continuity, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months (or JPY 1,000 for free use).

Article 8 (Suspension and Termination)

If you violate these Terms, or if necessary for the safe operation of the Service, the operator may suspend your use, restrict access, or terminate the relationship without prior notice.

Article 9 (Amendments)

The operator may amend these Terms when necessary. If a material change is made, we may provide notice through the app, website, update notice, or other reasonable means. Continued use of the Service after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes shall be submitted to the court having jurisdiction over the operator's domicile as the exclusive court of first instance.

Article 11 (Compliance with the Apple Standard EULA)

For the iOS version of the Service, you agree to comply with Apple's Standard Application License Agreement (Standard Apple Terms of Use), and the operator likewise complies with that agreement. The full Apple Standard EULA is available at:
